The New York Swing Dance Society (NYSDS) is a not-for-profit arts organization dedicated to the revival and promotion of swing dancing to live Big Band music. They are organized under the Cultural Council Foundation. The Society sponsors weekly dances with live Big Bands every Sunday evening at The Irving Plaza , 17 Irving Place at 15th Street. As of February 4, 1996, the admission is $13 for the general public, $9 for NYSDS members, and $5 for senior citizens. As an NYSDS member you will receive the following benefits:

Membership is available in the following categories:
* Member : ($35 per annum)
* Contributing Member : ($50 per annum) .
* Sustaining members : ($100 per annum) Sustaining members will receive one complimentary admission for you and a guest to a Sunday evening dance at The Continental Club.
