I am looking for motivated graduate students interested in control theory, optimization, and fluid mechanics. If you are interested in working with me, please see Prospective Students & Postdocs.

About me

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, TX. From 2017 to 2019, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, in 2016. Here is a short bio in third-person.

I am broadly interested in the modeling, dynamics, and control of large-scale and distributed systems with a focus on applications in fluid mechanics and renewable energy generation. In my research, I use and improve on techniques from control theory and optimization for the stochastic modeling and control of complex dynamical systems such as turbulent fluid flows. For more information, please see my publications.
