TEXTBOOKS: College Mathematics for Business, Economics, Life Sciences, and Social Sciences by R. A. Barnett, M. R. Ziegler, K. E. Byleen – 11^th Edition.

GRADING POLICY: Midterm I 30% + Midterm II 30% + Final 40% (+ 6% bonus for PS + 4% for attendance)

MAKE-UP EXAM: There will be only 1 common make-up exam for a missed exam (midterm or final) at the end of the semester, after the final exam. It will include all the material covered throughout the semester (even if it may be a make-up for the midterm).

ATTENDANCE: The attendance is not mandatory. However, the students attending 2/3 of all lectures will get 4% bonus grade.

PROBLEM SESSIONS: There will be 12 Problem Sessions (PS). For each PS attendance, the student gets 0.5% bonus grade. Any student may attend his/her PS instructor’s any PS for any week. All PS are on Friday. PS hours are as follows:

PASSING GRADE: At least 40 out of 100.

ACADEMIC HONESTY: Academic dishonesty, including cheating on exams is a serious offense resulting in an F grade and disciplinary action.

Midterm I: 1. Midterm will be on November 9^th, Monday at 17:00-18:30. Calculators are allowed.
