Math 544a – Algebraic Topology - Fall 2005
In this graduate
course, we will study the basic topological invariants. We start with basic topological
notions like manifolds, topological equivalence, homotopy. Then we go over fundamental groups and
covering spaces. Then, we study the homology and cohomology
theories. Then, we see some important applications of these topological
invariants in topology.
