Syllabus:
EE 4301 Electromagnetic Engineering Fall, 2003.
We
will study electromagnetic waves, concentrating in particular on the transfer
or propagation of electromagnetic energy from one position in space to another.
Specific
topics include: Maxwell’s wave equations, Plane waves, Propagation,
Transmission lines, Antennas, Optics.

Homework: No problem sets will be collected,
but a list of homework problems will be handed out in the first class
meeting. Working through these problems
diligently will help your grade in the course because these problems and
similar ones will appear on the tests.
The solutions to these problems will be posted on this website.
Exams: There will be two in class
midterm exams and a comprehensive in-class final exam. These must be individual
efforts. These exams will be closed book, closed notes, no calculator.
Computer Project: I will hand out (or post on
my website) a computer problem solving
