Research Openings
The research in the group requires strong background in power systems, optimization, mathematics, statistics, and computational modeling. 11/2023: Multiple Ph.D. positions are available in the DOES Lab starting from Fall 2024. Preferred Qualifications: (1) B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, statistics, mechanical engineering, or nuclear engineering; (2) background in mathematical optimization methods or machine learning; (3) knowledge in power & energy systems, renewable integration, wind energy, nuclear energy, or complex networks; and (4) good programming skills and familiar with one or more of the following tools: R, Python, Modelica, MATLAB/Simulink, PSS@E, OpenDSS, GridLab-D, CPLEX, GAMS, PYOMO.
