Laempel System

The Laempel System software for intelligent text processing is available in C source code form free of charge for both commercial and noncommercial use.

No representation or warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the condition, merchantability, title, design, operation, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Laempel System software. In particular, no responsibility is assumed for any errors, including mechanics or logic, in the operation or use of the Laempel System software, and the University of Texas at Dallas has no liability whatsoever for any loss or damages suffered by any user of the software as a result of the Laempel System software.

Downloading and Installation of Laempel System

  1. Get the files laempel.zip and getstart.pdf. The current version is 7.0, issued January 7, 2005.

  2. Print getstart.pdf and follow the instructions to install the Leibniz System using the file leibniz.zip.

  3. Do spell checking and syntax checking for a small file, using the instructions in getstart.pdf.

  4. Print and read the entire manual provided in the subdirectory Manual of the installed system. You are ready now for general use of the system.
