Local Information

The GSCC will be held on April 6-8, 2018 at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, Texas.

Driving

Parking is free past 5:00 PM on Friday and on weekends for green spaces. A permit is required to park on campus in other spaces at other times. Please contact us if you will need a permit, or you can pick up a visitor's pass on campus from the Visitor Center (VCB) or Parking Office (PS3). Alternatively, drivers may use Pay-by-Space parking located around campus (please see the parking map). Overnight parking is forbidden.

Flying

The two major nearby airports are the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL) airports.

Hotel Information

Participants will be staying at Courtyard Dallas Richardson at Spring Valley and Courtyard Dallas Richardson at Campbell.

Thanks to the generosity of the National Science Foundation and the Combinatorics Foundation, the conference will be able to cover the cost of lodging for all participants for the nights of Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7. Participants need to complete the registration form by March 15th (sooner is better). The organizers will notify the participants by March 24th of their hotel and room assignment.

There will be a scheduled shuttle service to and from the hotels to the campus. Please refer to the schedule above.

If you are staying at the Courtyard Dallas Richardson at Spring Valley, we recommend taking the DART from DFW airport to Spring Valley Station---the hotel is then a 7 minute walk away. For getting to campus, participants can walk to the Spring Valley DART station and then take the train to the Cityline/Bush DART station. The UTD shuttle departs every 30 minutes at :00 and :30 from the Cityline/Bush DART station. Take this same route to go back to your hotel.

If you are staying at the Courtyard Dallas Richardson at Campbell, we recommend taking the DART from DFW airport to Galatyn Park Station---the hotel shuttle service will pick you up from there according to the schedule above. Participants staying at the Campbell hotel location may find it necessary to take a ride sharing service such as Uber to go to the campus and back to the hotel.

Ride Sharing Services

Ridesharing services (Uber and Lyft) are active in the Dallas area. When arriving to campus, please ask to be dropped off at the UTD Bus Circle / Visitor's Center.
