Rashaunda Henderson was born in Shreveport, LA where she attended Oak Park Elementary, Bethune Middle School, Caddo Magnet Middle Magnet and Huntington High School.


She received her BSEE degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, LA. She attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received a MSEE and PhD while working as a graduate student research assistant in the Radiation Laboratory.


She established the High Frequency Circuits and Systems Laboratory in 2007 with Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee and Dr. Won Namgoong.
