About
I am an Associate Professor of Operations Management at The University of Texas at Dallas, Naveen Jindal School of Management, and an Amazon Visiting Academic.
My research focuses on pricing and revenue management and supply chain management problems primarily in the retail industry and business-to-business markets. The main goal of my research is twofold: (i) developing
methodologies that enable a firm to estimate and quantify the impact of consumers’ strategic and behavioral motives on their purchase decisions, and (ii) using these motives to design effective
pricing/promotion and assortment/inventory management mechanisms that optimize profitability as well as consumer satisfaction.
I received my B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey in 2008 and my M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees in Decision, Risk, and Operations from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business in 2013. Prior
to joining UTD, I worked as an Instructor/Researcher in the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering of Cornell University for two years.
