Lab-1 Tasks

1. See handout (available online
2. Label contours on Fig. 1, contour interval is 20 ft., contour values are generally convenient numbers divisible by 5 or 10.
3. Determine the elevation of the 4 labeled points on Fig. 1
4. Construct a topographic profiles along line A-B of Fig. 1, use graph paper provided as Fig. 2 if desired.
5. Draw contours on Fig. 3, using interval of 5 feet. Remember to use some intuition here, this is not just a ``connect-the-dots'' exercise.

1. download Lab 1 handouts
2. Complete the exercise following the instructions in the handout, see also these online notes and/or the textbook (Chp. 10, p. 307)
3. Turn your lab exercise at the beginning of the next lab
