Volunteering

When 'not breaking parts down' I like fund-raising and helping out for a cause, which not only makes me feel proud of myself but also gives me a peace of mind as I get charged up with positive energy in doing so. I have been volunteering for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in fund-raisers, yearly events and being a support for the Cancer survivors. I also volunteer for Society of Women Engineers promoting K-12 girls to take up STEM after High-School. By doing so I feel, educating the young generation with the right insights, might help them to move forward on a smoother path than what I faced while growing up.

Socializing and Networking

I love organizing get-togethers and networking with all kinds of people which helps me get a broader perspective of what all is happening in the world, outside my own small shell. You will always find me beaming happily and indulging the people around me in conversations, even though I might have just met the person. Making other around me happy and mainly pleased with themselves is one of my most favorite hobbies as I not only want people to relax from all distress and problems but also want them to be be proud of their very existence, which is why I love complimenting about things that catch my eye. How else can you make someone's day and then rejoice with them!

Being a Jack of All Trades

I like to do a bit of everything be it singing, dancing, playing the guitar, sports and what not!, mostly because everyone and everything around me amuses me so much that I have visions of 'what-if' I had that talent or I could be like that person. Although I love my identity, I like placing myself in others shoes and try seeing the world how they do, which gives me a broader perspective about life and keeps me grounded when I realize what the person is doing is highly commendable as I could not do what they do so well. Although never getting disappointed, this method of hit and trial in talent-hunt finally landed me to my dream place which is public speaking. You'll always find me around competing in debate and speech competitions in my free time. Currently I am serving my term as a President for the JSOM Friday Toastmasters and not only improving my speaking skills but also guiding others to be confident in their own skin.

Writing Poetry and Reading Mystery Novels

Although amidst my busy schedule, my love for penning down has reduced in frequency but whenever I want to have some really good me time with a bit of peace, you'll find me in the balcony with my cup of coffee, a well writing-pen and an old diary streaming my thoughts out. I have never been much fond of blogging, although I might do that in the future, my main focus would always be my school and university magazine for which I eagerly wait to get published.
