Research Activities
My research interests are in the broad spectrum of communication systems with focus on physical layer, medium access control, and cross-layer techniques.
Current research activities are in the areas of communications resource designs and management, cross-layer capacity enhancement techniques, spectrum-agile systems, cooperative / relay systems, robust receiver algorithms under practical system impairments, MIMO and diversity techniques/systems.
Target applications of current research are next-generation wireless PAN, LAN, MAN, RAN, LTE, LTE-Advanced and IMT-Advanced Systems.
I currently serve as a Editor-at-Large for the IEEE Transactions on Communications.
I am also interested in research and development activities related to biomedical signal processing and wireless health-care technologies.
