If you are taking a major in another field, whether in the School of General Studies or in another school, you may choose to take an 18-hour (6 course) minor in Gender Studies.

Requirements for the Minor in Gender Studies

1. Fulfillment of the Core Curriculum requirements -- See Program Requirements

2. Fulfillment of the requirements of your major.

3. 18 semester hours in Gender Studies:

    a. GST 2300  Introduction to Gender Studies

    b. Two courses chosen from

        GST 3301 Psychology of Gender

        GST 3302 Gender in Western Thought

        GST 3303 Gender, Society, and Politics

    c. Nine credit hours chosen from the following list -- see Course Listing for titles and descriptions of courses.
