NFR Framework

The RE-Tools toolkit supports the NFR Framework for modeling non-functional requirements (NFRs) as defined in this book and this paper, with an extension to support both closed and open world assumptions for goal satisficing label evaluation. See more detailed discussions on the label evaluation here.

The following is a Softgoal Interdependency Graph (SIG) that models account security, its definition and corresponding security measures.

The toolkit also supports Problem Interdependency Graph (PIG) for modeling soft-problems or obstacles to softgoal achievement. The following is a PIG that models soft-problems to an ambulance dispatch timeliness softgoal and possible solutions.

RE-Tools supports both open and closed world assumption for goal achievement and problem mitigation evaluation. See here for how open and closed world assumptions may be used during goal and problem modeling.
